This dress by Rodarte is pure genius! I don't know if it was intended to look like a face on her chest, but I really like the end effect. The complementary brocade skirt and shoulder pads, and the lace pattern sleeves really give this an ethereal effect. Apparently Rodarte was channeling medieval warrior princesses in this collection...the pieces with long silk skirts and metallic bodies were magnificent. Less impressive were the shoes and sweater/dress ensembles, but I guess no one can be perfect.
