My mother was a staunch anti-TV parent, so I ended spending way more time with my nose in a book than most kids. I still blame her for feeling lost when my peers start talking about their favorite childhood cartoon series and not being able relate to to most of what is in those ever-popular "You know you're from the 90s when...." lists, but at least I was able to finish a good chunk of the classics before I was 20. Which is fortunate for me, now that hipsters have deemed reading sexier than playing football. While lugging around a Dostoevsky is not longer cool (thanks, Kindle), there are other accessories out there to show everyone else just how well-read you are.
My favorite so far is Storiarts, an online store specialized in bringing you wearable versions of your favorite literature. I doubt they could actually put the entire Les Miserables on a scarf, but hey, at least you can bring a couple pages of your favorite book along with you everywhere you go. And if they don't have your favorite book, they can make a custom scarf (or pillow, or gloves) just for you! I wish they had these when I was younger, it would have made memorizing poems for school so much easier!
