I haven't been shopping much this summer, but finally ventured out to a couple thrift stores this weekend and scored this skirt for only $1.50! I don't think I've been so lucky in a while...Austin's propensity to attract hipsters pretty much means that vintage and thrift stores are more popular than H&M, so everything good is usually gone by the time I get anywhere (probably acquired by the salespeople before us mortals even have a chance). So I'm super happy when I find something that I like because buying new stuff all the time really spikes my guilt about overconsumption, environmental degradation and child labour.
I've been wearing this TopShop hat non-stop because the the perfect way to ignore having to brush or care about your hair without actually looking like a slob. Plus, it seems like no matter what I do to my hair, two hours later its the same frizzy mess it would have been had I not even used a brush on it. The other day, I spent ten minutes with a curling iron, fixed it with hairspray, and then two hours later I looked in the mirror, and it was like nothing had happened. Does this happen to anyone else?
